Attraction Review: The Palace Cinema, Malton

Time to take a trip down memory lane, forget the multiplexes........lets do it the old-fashioned way!

One chilly afternoon just before Christmas, whilst the kids were at school, I took myself off to the local cinema. Well, it was just like watching a movie in my own living room - absolutely perfect.

I was one of the few people in the cinema, since it was a 2pm showing, so happily kicked off my shoes and snuggled into the large, comfy, velvety chairs. Glass of wine in hand I was so relaxed its lucky I didn’t fall asleep in the movie.

The latest movies are shown on one of the three screens. Screen three only has 12 seats making it the cosiest cinema I’ve ever been in.

Refreshment wise, there is a great selection of sweets and crisps and a really well stocked bar of wines, lagers and beers with plenty of non-alcoholic drinks to choose from. Where else can you go to the movies and enjoy a cup of Yorkshire tea with your film?

All in all, I had a fantastic afternoon and can’t wait to go back. This is a great indoor attraction for any of our visitors – whatever the weather.
