The swimming pool at Crows Nest is currently closed for the season but there are plenty of choices in the area for places to swim or spend a day out in the water. These are a few of the best choices closest to us.

Alpamare – Scarborough

Alpamare is a waterpark situated in the north bay area of Scarborough featuring several swimming pools, indoor and outdoor, and some of Europe’s best waterslides. There is also a large wave pool and a children’s water playground, and outside you will find two more heated all-year-round garden pools (with sea views!). The park is a great day out for all the family and has plenty to offer such as food outlets and a wellness spa.

Scarborough Sports Village – Scarborough

The sports village has two indoor swimming pools ideal for all ages and abilities. You can book to go swimming during their free swim sessions (held at certain times of day) or book into one of their pool inflatable sessions for a fun swim with the kids. The village is part of the Everyone Active group so you can use memberships there for swimming or to use their range of gym and sports facilities.

East Riding Leisure – Bridlington

East Riding Leisure is a state of the art facility has three swimming pools and two indoor interactive slides. Along with a 25-metre swimming pool for laps, there is also a smaller learner pool and a Splash Zone fun pool with waterplay features such as tipping buckets and water jets.

The centre can also be a fun day out rock climbing, as it has its own Clip N Climb wall with activities and challenges for all ages. There’s a café too with a large menu, coffee, cakes and light bites.
