Easter Events In & Around Scarborough 2025
27/02/2025
Lots of egg-citing events are happening in our area over Easter this year!
If you’re visiting the coast and staying at one of our parks, you will be right on the doorstep of some of the best family activities on offer, from egg hunts to lambing experiences. Here’s our top picks…
Egg Hunts & Trails
Playdale Farm’s Easter Egg Hunt (20th & 21st April)
Visit Playdale Farm over Easter weekend to take part in their exciting emu egg hunt around the farmyard, with free prices up for grabs. You can also take part in the daily chick handling sessions, with the newly hatched baby chicks.
Easter Eggspress, North Bay Railway (14th - 21st April)
Catch the Easter Eggspress at Peasholm Park station and meet the Easter Bunny, who will be making appearances throughout the day! There’s also a fun-filled Easter Trail on the train to take part in and earn a special Egg-citing prize. No bookings are required.
Cedar Barn Egg Hunt & Mini Railway (14th - 21st April)
Cedar Barn is hosting daily Easter Egg Hunts and train rides on their miniature railway over the Easter holidays. Use the letters on the eggs you find to spell a special word and win your prize. The egg hunt is just £3.00 per child when booked in advance.
Lambs, Bunnies and Farms
Welcome the new arrivals and try bottle feeding the lambs at Piglets Adventure Farm in Spring this year. The younger ones will love the indoor and outdoor play areas at the farm too!
Filey Bird & Animal Park is the best place to visit some real Easter bunnies as well as a handful of other animals including parrots, alpacas and ponies. The park is open daily throughout the Easter holidays.
Humble Bee Farm
Humble Bee Farm’s lambing experiences are back every Sunday and some Wednesdays throughout March and over the Easter period. Book a 90-minute session for just £8.95 a person and enjoy feeding and handling the newborn lambs. Visit the maternity and nursey wards on the farm too, and stay hello to the resident sheep dogs.

Local Events
Looking for something a little more grown-up? Try one of the food and drink festivals visiting the coast over the Easter holidays, perfect for springtime nibbles, local beers and artisan desserts. Filey Food Festival is in town on the 19th & 20th April, while Scarborough’s brand new Food & Drinks Festival is taking place at the Open Air Theatre on the 12th & 13th April.
Keep an eye on our Gig Guide for all the live entertainment taking place at Crows Nest Caravan Park over the Easter weekend too.
